The weather didn’t make things easy and the bite was slow, but the captain and first mate worked hard the entire trip to find fish and get us hooked up. We ended up putting fish in the boat before the day was done, and any day on the water is a good one. We still had a great time!

We had an excellent full-day trip with Rod Benders Charters. The boat was beautiful, well-equipped, and the captain and first mate worked hard the entire time. I asked to focus on King Salmon, and they delivered. We landed some great kings and a bonus steelhead too. They really know their stuff and make the experience memorable. Highly recommend booking with Rod Benders Charters!

We had an awesome day on the water. The goal was simple: spend quality time with my sons, and the fishing was just a bonus. Captain Gerald and his first mate made the whole experience even better right from the start. Gerald clearly knows Lake Ontario and how to fish it, and the first mate had everything set up fast and ready to go. The boat was great, and while Gerald mentioned the ride might get a little bumpy, it ended up being just fine. I was first to hook up, then my oldest son landed one. My youngest almost had his, but that’s fishing. Gerald kept us over fish all day, even if they were a little stubborn. That’s why they call it fishing, not catching. Overall, we had a fantastic time and made some great memories. I’ll definitely be booking another trip with Gerald. Highly recommend Rod Benders if you want a fun and comfortable day on the lake with a captain who knows his stuff. Looking forward to getting back out there soon!
